Artwork Event - April 1 - September 30, 2016 - Krazzy Kow Ice Cream Parlor
Artwork Winners - July 16 - August 27, 2016 - High Springs Museum alongside the Smithsonian Institute Water Ways Exhibit
As part of their commitment to beginning a discussion with their students about our local water/ways, the Kindergarten teachers took time to read with their children "All the Water in the World" by Author, George Ella Lyon and invited them to share their story about our local springs and rivers.
Their stories are displayed through watercolor paintings and will be showcased at the Krazzy Kow Ice Cream Parlor downtown High Springs as follows:
April - Ms. Kirk & her 15 students
May - Mrs. Mcleod & her 17 students
June - Mrs. Wenzell & her 14 students
July - Ms. Batten & her 15 students

September - Ms. Crosby & her 13 students
We invite each class and each of you on a field trip to visit the Krazzy Kow Ice Cream Parlor and welcome owners, Doug & Bobbie Holland, new to our High Springs community. Share the excitement of our local water way enthusiasts and their bright and colorful watercolor paintings.
We also invite all teachers, student artists and their families to another Smithsonian Institute partnered upcoming event. Hosted by Karen LeMonnier, Tina Corbett and Lanza Galleries during the week of April 16-April 24, 2016, come meet and greet artists from around the state as they paint in plein air at our local rivers and springs. Visit www.lanzagalleries.org or HighSpringsMuseum.org for details.
We also look forward to seeing you at the High Springs Museum any upcoming weekend and during the summer Tuesday thru Sunday while the Smithsonian is in town.
